Bronze Casting and Copper Brazing

This bronze casting was coated with liver of sulfur multiple times to give the blackened patina and gently rubbed to bring back highlights of the bronze. The brazed copper flower was adhered to a small hole drilled into the top of the antler with glue for easy removal.
 
 
 
 
 
Below are a few images of the extensive process. Not included are images of the wax sprue system or layering of the plaster mold. The aluminum shown was not used for this project.
